1. Who we are
PhysicsVault.io ("PhysicsVault") is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Contact: privacy@physicsvault.io.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email, name, chosen qualification and exam board.
- Usage data: saved resources, recently viewed, completed items, search queries.
- Subscription data: plan, status, renewal date (held with our payment processor).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, basic device info, error logs.
3. How we use it
- To provide and personalise the service (lawful basis: contract).
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud (contract / legitimate interest).
- To improve features and fix bugs (legitimate interest).
- To send essential service emails (contract). Marketing emails only with your opt-in.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service:
- Lovable Cloud — application hosting, database, authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (when enabled).
We never sell your data.
5. International transfers
Some processors may store data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, transfers rely on UK/EU adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Billing records are kept for 6 years for UK accounting law. Anonymous analytics may be kept indefinitely.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email privacy@physicsvault.io to exercise any right. You can also complain to the ICO.

9. Children
PhysicsVault is intended for students aged 13+. Younger users should only register with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
